I’m other things too. A father. A husband. Dashingly handsome. Extremely short. Mostly, I’m another person trying to make his way in an enormous, complicated universe.

I was born in 1980 in St. Paul, Minnesota. I taught high school English and drama for nearly 15 years before accepting a position as a professor of literacy education in the Penn State system. Currently, I work at The University of Iowa and live in Iowa City.
